Natulim Laundry Detergent Sheets (40 washes) Review
Pre-dosed, plastic-free laundry strips that double as softener.
Overview
The product Natulim was founded on. Each sheet tears into two strips; one strip handles a small load (up to ~4 kg) and a full sheet handles a full 7–8 kg drum. It dissolves from 20°C, goes in the drum or the drawer, and the whole 40-wash pack weighs about 78 g — compared with roughly 3 kg for an equivalent bottle of liquid detergent.
Pros
- Zero plastic bottle and a tiny storage footprint
- Softener built in, so you can skip a second product
- Unscented option for sensitive skin and cloth nappies
- Very large review base (2,700+ ratings) averaging 4.55/5
Cons
- Very hard water or heavy soiling needs an extra half strip
- Scent is lighter than supermarket detergents
- natulim.it ships within Italy only

A closer look
Cleaning performance
For everyday loads — T-shirts, towels, bedding, office shirts — buyer feedback is consistently positive, and the 4.55/5 average holds across more than 2,700 ratings. The recurring caveat is the same one you'd see with any concentrated detergent: very dirty loads and very hard water need a little more product. Natulim's own advice is to add an extra half strip in those cases, and several buyers pair a spoon of Oxi White with whites for a brighter result.
Softness and scent
The sheet includes softening agents, so most people can skip a separate fabric softener. Scent is the most divisive point: Lavender and Floral leave a light, fresh smell, but buyers who are used to heavily perfumed supermarket detergents sometimes find it too subtle. The unscented 'Natural' version is the one to pick for sensitive skin, babies or cloth nappies.
Convenience
This is where sheets beat liquids outright: no measuring, no drips, no heavy bottles to carry up stairs, and a box that slips into a drawer. They are also easy to take travelling.
Sustainability
The box is cardboard and there's no plastic bottle. The sheet itself is made with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), the same water-soluble film used in most detergent pods. We cover the PVA debate in our ingredients guide.
What buyers say
“Half a sheet plus a spoon of whitener handles a full load of whites. Convenient, effective, eco-friendly and compact.”
“It removed my most stubborn stains at 40°C. Really satisfied.”
“Clean, pleasantly scented laundry with zero plastic — and the sheets take up almost no space.”
“Great for both whites and colours. I love the lack of plastic and how easy the dosing is.”

FAQ
Do I still need fabric softener?
Natulim says no — the sheet is formulated to leave laundry soft. You can still add your own if you prefer.
Can I hand wash with it?
Yes, dissolve half a strip in a bucket of water.
Does it work for cloth nappies?
Natulim says yes: it doesn't affect absorbency and is hypoallergenic. Choose the unscented version.
